Instead of focusing on issues like illegal immigration and a failed American economy, those who oppose Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump tend to battle him on a superficial level, especially when it comes to his infamous head of hair.
As Trump spoke to his supporters at a South Carolina campaign stop on Thursday, he referenced an article in The New York Times in which a Latino radio host in Los Angeles, in Spanish, called the candidate, “man of the toupee.”
Trust us, it sounds better in Spanish.
At any rate, Trump, who’s rightfully sick of spending time defending his hair when there’s so much more at stake, decided to settle the question once and for all.
“We’re gonna settle this,” he said to the crowd. “This is crazy.”
He asked a woman in the crowd to come up on the stage to give his hair the human test and, after running her fingers through it, she told The Donald that she thought it was indeed real. He requested that she repeat her determination into the microphone.
“Yes, I believe it is,” the woman said (H/T The Blaze).
Hopefully, this nationally televised authenticity test of Trump’s hair will allow liberals and even some establishment Republicans to enjoy a better night’s rest, as they’ve been unable to focus on much other than what sits on top of Trump’s head for the past several months.
Trump’s entertainment factor and willingness to act like a normal person and not a politically correct career politician has certainly helped boost his national poll numbers higher than ever.
It looks like there will be hell toupee for those who were sure Trump was sporting a golden fleece on his dome.
